New Year’s resolutions are usually all about ourselves.
We’re challenging you to help us change that.
Ways to get started:
1. Read to your kids every night–anything that makes kids happier makes the world a better place!
2. Offer help with homework or tutor a child that is having trouble at school.
3. Join a child mentoring program.
4. Volunteer for a child-focused nonprofit in your area.
We’ll post your ideas daily, so check back for new ways you can make 2010 A New Year for Kids!
What will you do this year?
Post your resolution in the comments!

I will get at least 5 friends to volunteer with a children’s organization this school year.
Comment by Dre January 14, 2010 @ 12:13 pmI will continue to spread the word about the importance of expanding the time and ways kids learn and the importance of after-school programs that support, educate and inspire kids. In particular, I will use video and other multimedia projects to document kids learning, creating and growing through after-school and summer programs. Happy New Year!
Comment by Jess January 13, 2010 @ 10:34 amI will continue to look for new ways to celebrate the positive actions of youth in the Cleveland community. Children do great, fearless things that sometimes adults cannot. 2010 is a perfect time to recognize kids as passionate, important people!
